B i o g r a p h y

Born in Sesto San Giovanni in September 1975, I started at 27 years old to play the drums. In reality, the rhythm has been always in my blood. When I was young and I still didn't play the drums, anything capable of producing a sound could become my percussion... ask my Mom !!

I have been playing the drums for 18 years, and I intend to continue playing until the end of my life!

Like many people, I also tried to learn to play drums alone, but just after two months. After that, I understood that I needed a professional teacher. I have been very very lucky because, very soon, I found it immediately. His name is Valerio, a great jazz drummer and the best drums teacher that I have known. He taught me everything today I know and he transferred me a big passion for jazz. I have still much to learn about this genre, but my objective to achieve is to improve. So, I took lessons for 4/5 years in two different music schools and then I deepened my studies at home. Today yet I like to spend my free time improving my technique. In these years I always played the drums in different cover bands. I have had the opportunity to play with many musicians and together with them I improved very fastly my technique. The best memories are the live sessions together at R. Cerini .. my friend and great guitarist, we played together in "The Maguts" band. Then was the time of the "EasyJack" band. In the meantime, I played in other contexts and bands to play different genres of music. My musical influences arrive from different musical genres starting from Rock / Blues arriving at Pop music, passing through the music Fusion and Swing/Jazz 1940-1960 and much more. Today, I play in the "SunRise on the Road" Band. We look for places and contests where to share our cover songs folk, bluegrass, country and so on.

My preferred Drummers (and from which I seek inspiration) are Jeff Porcaro (TOTO), Benny Greb, Dawe Weckl, Simon Phillips, Jeff Hamilton, Petet Erskine, Stev Gadd and David Garibaldi.
